At THE PLACE, we believe that children are so important and that the ministry that they receive is equally as important. We go above and beyond to assure that our children have a fun, safe environment where they can develop relationships with one another, staff and Jesus. Currently, our children's ministry is broken down into two areas ~ Nursery/Preschool and Elementary (1st - 5th).

There are two areas that the place considers of the utmost importance when it comes to ministering to children.

1. Their Safety. Every worker in our children's ministry has attained a background check before they can ever help in our children's ministry. In addition to that, we adhere to a "two deep rule". This simply means that there will NEVER be a child alone with one adult. There will always be AT LEAST two adults with the children at all times.

2. Their Christian Education. Every children's service will contain a time of songs, teaching and prayer. All of these will be 'kid friendly' and be administered in a way that seeks to engage and encourage the children throughout their spiritual journey.

Our Nursery/Preschool Director is Rebecca Hoyt. She has a passion for children and a desire for the little ones to receive the love, care and compassion that they deserve. She oversees a staff of volunteers who have been trained and LOVE to minister to the youngest of THE PLACE. We work hard to assure that the youngest of our congregation have a wonderful PLACE where they can be ministered to. We call it "THE PLACE for children".

Our Kids' Church Directors are Dan and Angela Bernhardt. They have experience working with children and work tirelessly to assure that THE PLACE is offering our first through fifth graders a great place to laugh, play and learn about God. They oversee a staff of volunteers who have a strong desire to minister the grace and love of Jesus to all of our children.
